My name is Alisan Keesee. I am a 20-something writer currently based in Seattle, WA. I’ve written seriously for over ten years and have experience in a variety of genres and types of writing.
As far as my professional background, I have a BA in English, Creative Writing and currently work as a Web Content Writer in the marketing field. Throughout my professional career, I have written for websites, evaluated submissions for a yearly literary magazine, gotten thousands of views overnight on an article, and managed a team of writers.
Writing for Odyssey and eventually leading my chapter as President, allowed me to hone my skills in content creation and SEO. It also helped me grow on a personal level. While I had written on my own personal deadlines and those for school projects, having a weekly deadline forced me to come up with ideas and write them down on a routine basis. This made me a disciplined writer who often turned my articles in early.
This corresponded to a boom in my own productivity. I wrote more on my own fiction projects during that time than I had for the previous three years. I always work to innovate and experiment in all of my writing endeavors whether professional or personal.
